Course Renderings

Alister Mackenzie’s hand rendered sketch of The Old Course at St. Andrews is one of the most enduring images of the world’s oldest and greatest golf course.  For a long time I’ve wondered why there aren’t more of these wonderful drawings?   Possibly it’s because they take so long! 

Much like the course guides, I’ve completed course renderings in all sorts of styles – from simple pen and pencil to detailed watercolours.

As an alternative to the standard aerial photo which most clubs hang on their wall, these large, original plans provide a far more interesting and attractive way of depicting the course.  Additionally, much like MacKenzie’s sketch of St. Andrews, reproductions make a popular gift for members and visitors alike.  Copies of selected renderings will be available in a range of sizes from time to time – please contact me for further details.
